WHY I can’t tell you why, For all of those many years, My life was of one painful moment to the next, I do know that I have always been Jesus Christ’s, And that in his eyes have always been dear, I understand now that God chose what was best, Who on earth could ever know the rest, I can’t tell you why, I was so stubborn and blind, Unless it was so I could know how blessed, My life is now withstanding the dark, I am saddened by all the sin, My light is God’s from deep within, I now can understand others hearts and burdens, I awoke with a heart of flesh, I understand now that God chose what was best, The only one who has the answers is Jesus, We have all walked at one time in the valley, A lonely and hurtful place, Where we don’t seem to be able to have rest or peace, Where we don’t seem to be able to keep from hurting, I can’t tell you why, It may take so long, To hear the voice of God’s loving song, But for every tear I’ve cried, I understand now He had his reasons, In knowing him I've stopped asking why "And I will give you an heart of flesh." --Ezekiel 36:26
