Psalm 23:6 (NLT)
When King David writes, “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me,”
he’s not saying, “Surely only good things will happen to me!”
The fact is bad things happen to good people.
What David is teaching us is that God can take bad, evil, and difficult situations
and bring something good out of them.

UNTIL THE SHADOWS FLEE

Reflections filter through the moonlight,
As the early morning dawns,
Sorrow like the dying embers of a flame which burned too long,

Remnants of a night of sorrow, losses that are too real,
I listen to your voice Lord as I stand alone upon the hill,

Human in my wants and needs,
Blind to your splendor before me,
I come to you naked with only faith,
Of the love behind your winds of change,
I come before you broken, bearing with me my own cross,
Drowning in a lake of tears for children that are lost,

You never promised us perfect bliss, without a need to weep,
Yet, my soul is comforted with your kiss,
As the chaff falls from the wheat,

Who better to understand,
Than the one who trod the road of sorrow for man,
You know my heart and see all things,
The day will break and the shadows flee,
Comfort grieving parents of the children gone astray,
We need your intervention there is no other way
And To ALL Things Be Your Glory

2 Corinthians 1:9: “This happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead” (NIV).

God’s goodness provides and protects; God’s mercy pardons and forgives. God’s goodness will supply; God’s mercy will sooth. God’s goodness will help; God’s mercy will heal.

Goodness is the fact that God gives us good things in life that we don’t deserve. Mercy means God holds back the condemnation we deserve.

PLEASE LORD SAVE OUR CHILDREN, Amen
