Every day is a new day,
And we have to expect daily change,
We may be riding upon a wave that has crested,
Clinging to yesterdays things,
We may be told to sit on the shore and wait,
This is not a time to do just as we please,
We must seek deeper trust in Jesus,
Wait passionately at Jesus’ feet,
At this very time, a new tide is churning,
A new day is dawning,
A new fire is burning,
We have only an idea of what God has planned,
The things we see may appear insignificant,
But will bring with it his mightiest hand,
We need to wait passionately at Jesus feet,
Not follow in the footsteps of man,
We may be told to sit on the shore and wait,
A time of seeking a deeper level of faith,
Even when the hour grows long,
We must follow Jesus’ lead, bowing down humbly,
His ways are sure and strong,
We must not run ahead stumbling in haste,
A New day is dawning,
And God’s timing is never too late,
God is moving very deeply,
Every mountain, every wilderness, every sea,
Every church, every home, every ministry,
Is being told to sit on the shore and wait,
Passionately for God at Jesus’ feet
