My voice shalt thou hear in the morning.
O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee,
and will look up.

Psalm 5:3

SOMEONE IS CRYING OUT

Someone is crying out,
I can hear her in my dreams,
Someone is feeling, distant from God,
My heart knows that someone is me,

I can feel her crying,
Scared to show her face,
Reaching ever slowly to Jesus,
Attempting to be brave,

He encourages her with sweet love
To take shelter from her pain,
Speaking very gently,
So she will come his way,

Rain coming down in torrents,
Thunder billows loud,
She takes small steps, moving forward,
As Jesus reaches out,

He says Come To Me, My Child,
So Beautiful is the sound,
So Gloriously warm and mild,
His Love for her abounds,

I can’t imagine why she won’t run,
Into the safety of His arms,
She appears to be so frightened,
Yet the distance is not far,

When I awake I realize,
The reality of my dreams,
He has been by my side,
Yet I have not been willing,
To let go of wants and fears,
I haven’t trusted in Christ’s love,
Not allowed him to comfort my tears,
Or have complete faith in God above,

Someone was crying out,
I could hear her in my dreams,
Because I was not ready,
To admit that someone is me
