HEALING

We could dwell on yesterday’s broken hearts,
But how we find tomorrow, find the beginning of its rainbow,
Rests upon our faith in God, upon the healing of our souls,

We can emerge through regrets for a deep cleansing breath,
We are able to see God’s light when we fix our eyes on Jesus,
We don’t have to be scarred from the remnants of the past,
Healing is ours when God’s love is all we need or have,
We then know that at all times Jesus remains the same,
And no matter how low we feel that God is not to blame,

We could continue through that deep, dark yesterday,
Making all of the same mistakes,
But that would mean pain, suffering and sorrow,
Would forever keep us enslaved,
Jesus already paid the price, our sins nailed upon the cross,
At that moment we were forgiven, to live a life of love,

We were born to feel God’s spirit move within us,
Without him we are needy with emotional and physical pain,
We were created with a longing for his tender touch,
Born to be swaddled within the blanket, of his magnificent grace,

Yesterday God may have shown you a need to seek his loving face,
He calls to us, his precious children, not for punishment,
But because without him we are not saved,
He calls to us, his precious children,
Because our Father knows without him we are not safe.

Heb 12:2-3
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
