We must remember to think as if we,
Are in heaven looking down upon our lives,
All that troubles us now will seem,
So very small while gazing into Jesus’ eyes,
And if we triumph over adversity,
As a child of God’s while on earth,
What do you think God’s words will be,
Oh what joy will those hardships be worth,
We must remember to think as if we,
Are in heaven being shown the truth,
How silly will we think our vanity,
How shallow worrying over our fleeting youth,
The time we have before we stand fore God,
Is truly no time at all,
We are facing ourselves now to his call,
It begins this very hour and will unfold,
We are living for eternity so we must all be told,
That heaven and earth are joining as one,
We are standing in the magnificence of both,
Time on earth is but a wisp and then is gone,
Heaven is where we will live out eternity,
We must remember to think as if we,
Are in heaven gazing into Jesus’ eyes,
What do you want his words to be,
When confronted with the truth of your lives,
If we triumph over adversity,
As a child of God’s while on earth,
We will receive the inheritance of our king,
Oh what joy will those hardships be worth!!
