I will make you Fishers of Men
divider

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee,
he saw Simon and his brother Andrew
casting a net into the lake,
for they were fishermen.
"Come, follow me," Jesus said,
"and I will make you fishers of men."
At once they left their nets and followed him.
When he had gone a little farther,
he saw James, son of Zebedee
and his brother John in a boat,
preparing their nets.
Without delay he called them,
and they left their father Zebedee
in the boat with the hired men
and followed him.

Mark 1:16-20

Fishers of men Jesus calls us to be,
To spread the word of his next coming,
To speak love to those that have not yet heard his words,
To speak about the Son Of Man and his virgin birth,
Jesus calls you to tell others that they have been saved,
As in the days of old he is calling us forth today,

Sometimes we are called in soft whispered tones,
Sometimes it is knowledge from things we are shown,
Sometimes in a crowd and sometimes when where alone,
We are called to leave our familiar ways,
Sometimes his call evokes absolute blind faith,
Yet, be it shown in light or spoken in the dark,
We hear it within our souls and feel it within our hearts,

Jesus says Come Follow Me,
His loving steps, the path to heaven’s eternity,
We are called to follow him to places unknown,
To soak, in the warmth of his spirit and loving soul,
Reach into the mire and let Jesus’ hand take hold,
Rescue those who are floundering in the muddy waters,
Cast our net to God’s Sons and Daughters,

Fishers of men Jesus calls us to be,
To spread the word of his next coming,
To speak love to those that have not yet heard his words,
To speak about the Son Of Man and his virgin birth,
Jesus calls you to tell others that they have been saved,
As in the days of old he is calling us forth today
